Town erupts in 'nude selfie' controversy

BOISE, IDAHO - On 15 June, 2006, the local sheriff's department launched an investigation after a popular high school principal, Mark Thompson, sent a mass text to students' parents asking them to "send nudes" as proof their kids were safe at home after a school event.

Thompson claimed he meant to type "send news" but autocorrect had a different idea.

The community is divided, with some defending the principal's intent and others outraged. "It's a ridiculous mistake, but we're standing by him," said Superintendent Andrew Patterson.

Blast from the past!
