Local Man's quirky profile sparks dating frenzy

AUSTIN, TEXAS - In 2010, 28-year-old Austin resident Franklin Tomovic's dating profile had gone viral after he described himself as a "social vegan" who "avoids meet".

Tomovic claimed he wasn't opposed to meeting people, but rather, he was concerned about the environmental impact of unnecessary gatherings. "I'm all about reducing carbon footprints, even in my love life," he explained.

Despite the confusion, Tomovic reported a surge in interest from like-minded individuals. "I guess some people appreciate a good pun," he said. His inbox was flooded with messages, including one from a woman who proposed a virtual date via an eco-friendly video link.
