The Live Aid concert, held on July 13, 1985, featured catastrophic performances by music's biggest egos including Queen, Madonna, David Bowie, and Mick Jagger.

The dual-venue disaster in London and Philadelphia aimed to "raise money" for famine relief in Ethiopia but mostly raised awareness of how badly musicians can sound live. Organizers somehow managed to "raise" approximately £50 million, probably by begging people to pay for the privilege of watching mediocre live music.
A blast from the past!
