Table Mountain cable car stuck with Trevor Noah's old jokes

CAPE TOWN - The Table Mountain cable car was stuck for hours yesterday with a playlist of Trevor Noah's old jokes on repeat. The cable car, which was carrying a group of unsuspecting tourists, was halted due to a technical glitch that caused the sound system to loop through Trevor Noah's early stand-up comedy routine.

"It was like a nightmare," said tourist Emily Chen. "I just wanted to enjoy the view, but instead I got 'Why South Africans are like pineapple pizza' for the 20th time."

The incident has sparked a wave of sympathy for the cable car occupants, who are now being offered therapy sessions to deal with the trauma of reliving Trevor Noah's early jokes.

Table Mountain management has confirmed that the cable car will be back in service soon, but with a new playlist featuring jokes from newer, less cringe-worthy comedians.

Trevor Noah himself took to X to poke fun at the situation, saying "Looks like my jokes are so old, they're stuck in a cable car." He's a good sport!

Local really is lekker!
