Researchers at Stellenbosch University have found rare phenolic compounds in cannabis leaves, known for their anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, and antioxidant properties. Is this just another excuse to hype up the benefits of dagga?

Professor André de Villiers says the discovery could turn cannabis leaves from waste into a valuable resource in the commercial cannabis industry. "In South Africa they combust, burn it to get rid of it," he notes. Yeah, right!
So now because of these "potentially very interesting" bioactive molecules, we're gonna be told to love dagga even more?
Local really is lekker!
