Healthcare in SA: Because 300 monthly mishaps aren't enough

JOHANNESBURG – Who needs a functioning healthcare system when you can have drama? The Health Ombud's office is loving the chaos – 300 monthly complaints about medical mayhem are just the tip of the iceberg.

Turns out, staff are overworked, buildings are crumbling, and patients are just collateral damage. "To err is human," says Health Ombud Taole Mokoena, probably while checking his own hospital records.

Public hospitals are the real MVPs – handling 80% of patients with 20% of the resources. Private hospitals? Nah, they're just collecting rich people's money.

Change is coming, but don't hold your breath. Mokoena's optimistic it'll be "slow and painful". In the meantime, let's just laugh (or cry) about the healthcare horror show.

Local really is lekker!
