So, if we’re taking our cues from the animal kingdom, so eager to compare ourselves to our shaggy and feathered friends, then let’s do so in more detail. Rabbits devour their young, hamsters snack on their pups, and lions indulge in infanticide—so why not us? Oh wait, we’re civilized ... or so we claim. If we’re going to play the “animals do it too” card to justify homosexual behavior, let’s take it all the way. After all, consistency is key, right? Nope, instead, we cherry-pick the convenient similarities and discard the, ahem, less palatable ones.

     Logic dictates this convenient comparison is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to normalize and justify. Newsflash: it’s a flawed argument. Just because animals exhibit certain behaviors doesn’t make them inherently human or morally sound.

     This contrived comparison reeks of intellectual laziness and moral relativism. Let’s not reduce complex human issues to simplistic animal analogies. We’re better than that—or at least, we should be.

     It’s time to plunge into the heart of our tangled tale. Confronting the forbidden vault of hidden truths we zealously protect wasn’t easy. Honestly, it reeks of abnormality—or perhaps my limited perspective just can’t grasp it. But by the end of this journey, maybe someone will enlighten my innocent—or obtuse—mind.

     I was happy to approach this topic because after taking a few jabs at women in my previous stories, I figured it’s about time I give them a break. This time, as promised before, let’s delve into the intriguing world of the LGBTQIA+ (and counting) community. I couldn’t help but chuckle again at that jumble of letters, with the L taking the reins ahead of the G. Is it some sort of strategic move to put the ladies in the spotlight before the men? Oh well, who really cares. For this narrative, let’s focus on the good ol’ G in the acronym, saving the rest for another time.
