Mysterious weather anomaly leaves city stunned

TULSA, OKLAHOMA, 1932 - A bizarre weather phenomenon has left residents of Tulsa scratching their heads and checking their thermometers. On a sunny afternoon, the city's temperature suddenly plummeted, causing a thick layer of frost to form on parked cars and outdoor furniture.

.

"It was like someone flipped a switch," said local shopkeeper, Edna Mae Jenkins. "One minute it was a balmy 75 degrees, the next it was like winter had arrived overnight."

The sudden drop was accompanied by a faint humming noise, which some witnesses described as sounding like a "giant harmonica". As the temperature continued to drop, the city's jazz clubs and speakeasies reported an unusual influx of customers, all clamoring to warm up with a hot cup of coffee or a nip of bootlegged whiskey.

The US Weather Bureau has issued a statement attributing the anomaly to a " localized cold front", but Tulsa's residents are holding out for a more outlandish explanation .

A blast from the past!
